After an extensive search, Newman Theological College is pleased to announce Dr. Troy Davies as the successful candidate for the Associate Professor and Sopchyshyn Chair of Catholic Education and Theology, effective August 1, 2027. In addition to his executive leadership experience as Chief executive Officer at Catholic Social Services, Dr. Davies has taught as an adjunct professor at both the University of Alberta and Newman Theological College, where he instructed courses in educational ethics and law, as well as Catholic school administration. Dr. Troy Davies holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Calgary, a Master of Arts in Theology from the University of Notre Dame, and a Ph.D. in Education Policy Studies from the University of Alberta.
