As geopolitical developments continue to reshape the global security landscape, the importance of a resilient and innovative European defense industry is becoming increasingly clear. Last week, Michiel Van Der Maat, Chief Commercial Officer at Neways, participated in the panel discussion during the Annual Geopolitical Update 2026 at High Tech Campus Eindhoven. Together with fellow industry leaders and experts, he discussed the impact of geopolitical developments on the defense sector and the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. The event, organized by WTC/e Brainport, HCSS - The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies, High Tech Campus Eindhoven and Mikrocentrum, brought together perspectives from industry, government and academia on the rapidly changing geopolitical landscape.
