Nethermind joins Aztec as a core engineering and research contributor Aztec is building programmable privacy for Ethereum and its L2s. As the network entered its Ignition phase, Nethermind is becoming a core contributor to the Aztec ecosystem under a long term engineering and research grant, focused on the robustness and adoption of the Aztec Network. This builds on our experience in Ethereum clients, zero knowledge research, and infrastructure, and formalizes our role in helping shape Aztecโs core systems. Our work with Aztec is already live in several areas: โข Network observability: aztecnodes.xyz provides a live view of node counts, geography, versions, and history, giving the community visibility into how the network evolves. โข Infrastructure and node support: We help test and support the current Aztec node software and operate infrastructure for development and testing environments. โข Cross chain development: Nethermind integrated Wormhole on Aztec devnet, helping builders develop cross chain applications that leverage Aztecโs privacy features. Our research teams work with Aztec on mechanisms that support a permissionless, censorship resistant rollup, including escape hatches, forced inclusion, slashing design, and consensus research to balance safety, liveness, and cost. Under the grant, we will deepen our contributions across node client development, sequencer and prover infrastructure, protocol research, and developer tooling and data insights that improve the experience of building on Aztec. You can follow the network at aztecnodes.xyz. If your team is exploring private applications or infrastructure on Aztec, our team is open to conversations about how we can support you.
