In Figma's 2026 AI report, the number of developers doing design work rose from 44% to 60% in a single year, and 65% now say design matters more since AI took over. That shift makes sense once you look at what's actually happening: AI accelerates production, but the design system underneath it can't always keep pace. Components drift, patterns diverge, and every fix becomes a judgment call made under deadline. That's why we treat design, development, and QA as one delivery system, not three separate handoffs. Where does coherence break first in your product: components, flows, or reviews?
