Netflix premiered The Swedish Connection globally — an important and deeply human story about Gösta Engzell, whose courage and persistence helped save tens of thousands of Jews during World War II by outmanoeuvring the Nazis through bureaucracy. Last night, we had the honor of hosting a special screening for the Swedish Jewish congregation in Stockholm in the presence of Sweden’s Minister of Culture, Parisa Liljestrand, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Maria Malmer Stenergard, and Engzell’s sons — a powerful reminder of the real lives and legacy behind this story.
