The Neste team spent an incredible week in Amsterdam at the Sustainable Aviation Futures Congress, engaging in good discussions with partners and stakeholders across the aviation value chain. A lot of buzz was around governmental policies and SAF availability. As the world's largest producer of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), we are positioned to supply the volumes required to meet major regulatory policies like the ReFuelEU and UK SAF mandates. However, long-term, stable policy support remains critical to accelerating market demand and de-risking continuous industrial investment into additional production capacity. Neste’s Mario Mifsud took the stage alongside Shell Aviation, DHL Express and Future Energy Global to address the operational realities of these shifting regulations. The panel tackled how suppliers and airlines have been adapting, looking back at the first year of the ReFuelEU and UK SAF mandates, while exploring how voluntary demand can work alongside regulatory layering to de-risk offtake strategies. It is clear that implementing legislative mandates into day-to-day operations requires deep, structural collaboration across the entire aviation ecosystem. Thank you to the event organizers and everyone who engaged with the Neste team this week. Let’s continue driving the energy transition forward!
