A: Absolutely. It’s a deeply human feeling to look at peers and strangers and wonder, “What do they have that I don’t?” Comparison is natural; our brains are wired to look for patterns. However, we often default to the wrong metric. Meaningful comparison isn’t apples-to-oranges with someone else’s highlight reel. It's looking at where you are today versus where you were, say, two years ago. That’s the only baseline that shares your unique characteristics. It's a small shift in perspective, but it changes everything — including how we think about building financial products. At Neo, this philosophy of continuous progression is threaded through everything we do, from our product engineering to our app design. Ultimately, it stems from a deep desire to help Canadians change their baseline, build real momentum, and finally feel like they are winning with their finances. There are many leaders out there by title, role or compensation—but the actual work of leading is something that must be earned every day. For me, leadership is a continuous pursuit. I am constantly thinking about how to empower others. And that drive pushes me to be better in every facet of my life—as an employee, a mentor, a parent and a partner.
