We're keen to share the success so far of our 2-year Building Healthier Green Futures project, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund. Along with our project partners Peterborough Presents, Froglife and WestRaven community Gardens (Cross Keys Homes), we have delivered 131 sessions so far, engaging 360 young people from across the city and surrounding areas. Activities have taken place in schools, community gardens, libraries, youth clubs and outdoor spaces, working with both SEND and mainstream groups. The project combines nature, creativity and wellbeing, offering young people opportunities to take part in wildlife gardening, food growing, photography, filmmaking, storytelling, mural-making, healthy cookery and practical conservation activities. Evaluation shows strong positive impact so far, with between 86–100% of young people reporting they learnt at least one new skill, and 70–100% saying the project had positively changed their local environment, green spaces or community. Find out more about the success of the project at https://lnkd.in/ejCQtcUr - and we're excited to see how it continues and grows over the year ahead.
