We're so pleased to share that Savills Peterborough is sponsoring visits to the Park for a local Peterborough school next year! This generous funding follows five years of our 'School in Residence' programme, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the Your Community Greenspace project. Over this time, 174 primary school children from six different Peterborough schools have enjoyed funded visits to the Park. Now the project is in its last year, we're thrilled that this new sponsorship from Savills means we can continue to offer these amazing nature and wildlife learning opportunities to local children. During the 2026-27 academic year ahead, 30 Year 3 children from Leighton Primary School in Peterborough will benefit from four funded visits to Ferry Meadows, which include the cost of school transport and any equipment needed and also three visits back to the school from our Nene Park Trust education team.
