#Collaboration for healthier #potatoes and more sustainable crop protection 🥔🌱 On the occasion of #InternationalPotatoDay, six EU-funded projects — POMATO project, IPMorama, CROPSAFE Project, SAGROPIA, PATAFEST, and #NEMEMERGE — came together for the webinar “From research to field: Sustainable solutions for potato health”. 🤝 The projects, which have established a networking consortium to strengthen collaboration, share knowledge, and explore synergies, presented their complementary approaches to addressing potato pests and diseases. Despite focusing on different threats, the projects identified common areas for collaboration, including diagnostics, pathogen population characterisation, and prevention strategies — all while addressing shared challenges such as #ClimateChange. The discussion also highlighted the importance of translating research into practical solutions that support farmers, advisors, and stakeholders in adopting more sustainable crop protection practices.
