You never really see the strength of a team when everything is going well. You see it when something changes. Whether it’s a mobilisation, a client issue, or welcoming a new colleague, I’m always impressed by how people pull together. Someone steps in to help. Someone shares their knowledge. Someone stays a little later because they know the team needs them. No one asks, “Is this my job?” They ask, “How can I help?” Working across the Pareto Northern Business Unit, I’ve seen this first-hand. Our operations, engineering, contract support and account management teams all play their part, and that’s what makes a difference. Great businesses aren’t built on processes alone. They’re built by people who care about each other, take pride in what they do and work together to deliver for clients. It’s easy to talk about culture. It’s much harder to live it.
