NEC is proud to support the progressive rollout of #facialrecognition for the immigration clearance of motorcyclists at Singapore's land checkpoints, first launched at Woodlands Checkpoint on 31 March 2026. Implemented in close partnership with the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), this marks another milestone in our long‑standing collaboration. 🙌 Improving throughput at Singapore’s busy land checkpoints, especially for motorcyclists 🏍️ 🛵 commuting between Singapore and Malaysia, has long been a shared priority. This need is heightened during adverse weather conditions, where seamless clearance becomes even more critical. Building on our earlier deployment of QR code clearance, facial recognition has now been incorporated into the clearance process, resulting in a further reduction in clearance timing and a more seamless clearance experience. 🛣️ This reflects what sustained collaboration and shared commitment to innovation can achieve in public service delivery. 💪 We look forward to continuing our partnership with ICA to further enhance checkpoint operations.
