Τoday, Vangelis Karkaletsis, Director & Chairman of the Board of NCSR Demokritos, and George Nounesis, our former Director, introduced the Autonomous Science Lab, Superlabs, to Dimitrios Terzis, Secretary General for Research and Innovation. Mr. Terzis, a computer engineer himself, engaged directly with Filippos Tourlomousis and his interdisciplinary team. The Autonomous Science Lab is a new operating system for scientific discovery: closed-loop, self-driving systems where AI models the scientist’s mindset, automation handles reproducibility, and researchers stay focused on what matters. At its core: BioLoom, a bioprinter that constructs biological structures at cellular precision, and Loominus Studio, the AI software layer that runs the entire fabrication workflow. #AutonomousSciense #deeptech #superlabs #innovation
