What a huge day for Canada! Today, TELUS announced plans to launch and scale three of the most advanced and sustainable Sovereign AI Factories in the world – helping provide the secure, sovereign foundation our country needs to create made-in-Canada solutions, accelerate growth, and secure our nation’s place in the digital economy for generations to come. Our first Sovereign AI Factory in Rimouski, which opened in September 2025, sold out within months as organizations across the country move quickly to scale AI securely on Canadian infrastructure. Businesses want the ability to innovate while keeping their data, IP and competitive advantage here at home – and the demand just keeps growing. That’s why we're working with the Government of Canada to scale for what comes next. Once fully ready, the cluster is expected to include more than 60,000 GPUs across three world-class facilities in British Columbia, which are designed to become among the most sustainable AI data centres on the planet. This investment is expected to generate more than $9 billion in economic value for British Columbia over time, while giving Canadian businesses, researchers and innovators access to the compute power they need to compete globally. Canada has a real opportunity to lead in AI – and leadership will take bold investment, world-class infrastructure, trusted partnerships and organizations willing to build for the long term. At TELUS, we’re all in. Proud to be building alongside organizations that believe in that future as much as we do! #AI #SovereignAI #CanadianInnovation #Sustainability https://lnkd.in/gTeFcAzD
