Gwyneth Paltrow, who is Jewish on her father's side, has been an unwavering supporter of both the Jewish people and the State of Israel especially since October 7th. Most recently she lent her star power to Israel in a commercial for a housing development in Herzliya. Jewish identity passes through the mother. We need to make it easier, faster, and fairer for people with only patrilineal Jewish ancestry to formally join the Jewish family. I'm in Haaretz today discussing this issue.
