What's the air quality like on your street? How does your neighbourhood's access to green space compare to others nearby? Natural England's Green Infrastructure Mapping platform now hosts two new tools: the IMED (Index of Multiple Environmental Deprivation) and EEI (Environmental Equity Index). They bring together environmental, health and social data at neighbourhood level across England. They're useful for all kinds of people and purposes: 🌳 Local councils developing a Green Infrastructure Strategy 🏙️ Organisations working towards Nature Towns and Cities accreditation 🔍Residents who want to better understand their local environment 📊 Planners, public health teams and researchers making evidence-based decisions. Built in partnership with the Environment Agency, Friends of the Earth, leading universities and environmental organisations, this data is open, authoritative and ready to use.
