We were privileged to host the Cynthia Goh Distinguished Lectureship Series at NCCS. The Lecture delivered by renowned Palliative Care expert, Dr Rosalie Shaw was entitled "The Power of Presence: Bringing the Person back into Focus". It was a talk with heart that reminded all of us healthcare professionals to keep the person behind the patient in mind at all times, and deliver care with humanity and dignity, to treat the person, not just the disease. A powerful message for all of us in healthcare to remember.
