Mao from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) at the recent 3-day programme "Building Evidence Based Integrative Oncology: From Research Excellence to Clinical Integration" that brought together healthcare professionals to explore how integrative medicine approaches can transform cancer care for patients. Dr Mao, who leads the Integrative Medicine and Wellness Service at MSKCC, shared cutting-edge insights on combining evidence-based Western and Eastern medical approaches to enhance symptom management and quality of life for cancer patients. The programme also covered essential areas from research methodology and manuscript writing to practical applications of acupuncture and massage in oncologic care.
