Polar bear teeth and fur were Anguti Lundrigan’s focus last summer.     At one of our nanotechnology labs in Edmonton, Anguti Lundrigan, an Inuk and University of Alberta chemical engineering student, used electron microscopes to study polar bear diet, age, exposure to contaminants and reproductive history.    Anguti was part of the I-STEAM Pathways program at his university, which blends Indigenous knowledge with environmental research.     The NRC is proud to have supported this program for many years.    Read more about Anguti’s research from Tuktoyaktuk to Edmonton via electron microscopes.      #NIPD2026 #DiscoverTheNRC #NRCNanotech  Environment and Climate Change Canada
