During this fall season, one of our Research Associates Annalee W. participated in fieldwork led by Dr. Rebecca Dunlop in the Dunlop Lab along Peregian Beach, Australia! This year, the project focused on developing a reliable acoustic deterrent to reduce humpback whale entanglements in fishing gear and shark nets, marking the final data collection for Kelsey Stone's PhD project. Congrats Kelsey!! . In recent years, NMMF Director of Conservation Biology, Dr. Dorian Houser, has collaborated with Rebecca and Dr. Michael Noad to study hearing in humpback whales.
