Global health research will receive a $10.5 million funding boost under NHMRC’s international collaborative grant scheme with the international network of health and medical research funding agencies, the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases. Five Australian based research teams will focus on implementation science aiming to reduce the prevalence of chronic non communicable diseases among low and middle income countries and/or in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities in Australia.
