Recipient of the 2025 NHMRC Elizabeth Blackburn Investigator Grant Award for leadership in basic science, Professor Sarah Robertson AO of Adelaide University has a longstanding career in fertility and pregnancy research, aiming to improve reproductive outcomes for families in Australia and globally. Professor Robertson’s current Investigator Grant research focuses on uncovering how the immune system at the moment of conception shapes fertility and pregnancy health. This work is seeking to understand and prevent complications such as infertility, miscarriage, preeclampsia, preterm birth and stillbirth.
