Meet Cinco. A remote camera in southern Arizona has caught a rare glimpse of a jaguar, one of only five documented in the region over the past 15 years. His presence reflects a gradual return of the Western Hemisphere's largest cat across the U.S.-Mexico border after decades of decline due to hunting and habitat loss. The footage also reveals how these elusive cats move through the landscape, but with no breeding females confirmed and growing barriers to their range, that foothold remains uncertain.
