Last week, the National AI Research Lab (NAIRL) hosted a delegation from Qatar Foundation's Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) and Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) at the Seoul AI Hub for an exchange meeting on AI research collaboration. Dr. Ahmed Elmagarmid, Executive Director of QCRI, and Mr. Ahmed Al-Said, Business Development Director of QSTP, joined Director Kee-Eung Kim and our research team for an open and productive conversation. Both sides shared their visions and research directions, finding strong mutual interest across areas including foundational and applied AI research. Qatar Foundation's integrated ecosystem — connecting world-class research institutes, Education City's university branches, and a thriving technology commercialization platform — made for a truly enriching exchange.
