Global AI Frontiers Symposium 2026 will feature Leslie Kaelbling, Panasonic Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as the Academy Keynote Speaker. Professor Kaelbling also serves as Director of Research at the MIT Quest for Intelligence and as a principal investigator at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). Her research focuses on building intelligent robots by integrating perception, estimation, learning, planning, and reasoning under uncertainty. She is widely recognized for adapting Partially Observable Markov Decision Processes (POMDPs) for use in AI and robotics, and is the founder and first editor-in-chief of the Journal of Machine Learning Research (JMLR). At the symposium, Professor Kaelbling will deliver the Academy Keynote, “Rational Robots.” The session will explore how AI systems can reason, plan, and act intelligently in uncertain real-world environments.
