The National Academy of Inventors congratulates Laura Peter, HonNAI, on her nomination to serve as Deputy Director General of the Patents and Technology Sector at the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO. Throughout her career spanning industry, government, and academia, Laura has been a tireless champion for inventors, intellectual property rights, and technology commercialization. As Executive Director of the Office of Research Commercialization and Partnerships at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, she established the university's inaugural Invention of the Year Awards and its National Academy of Inventors Chapter.
