This room earned the blue ribbon because it captures what luxury design should do at its highest level: create an emotional response. The brief was simple—design a primary suite that felt like a retreat. A place where our clients could exhale, recharge, and feel completely at home. Every decision was made in service of that goal. The design story began with a hand-knotted bamboo silk area rug, whose soft palette inspired the entire room. From there, we layered an East-meets-West narrative that reflects our clients’ appreciation for Eastern influences while maintaining the timeless elegance of a luxury Florida residence. Texture became the language of the space. Silk wallcoverings by Phillip Jeffries create a quiet sophistication, while a limited-edition Ann Gish bedding collection—reminiscent of couture fashion and Met Gala artistry—adds a layer of artistry and softness. Curated accessories, including sculptural pieces by Michael Aram, reinforce the home’s refined character. The furnishings were thoughtfully selected from some of the industry’s most respected partners, including Baker, Holly Hunt, and Visual Comfort. Each piece was chosen not only for its beauty, but for how it contributes to the overall experience of the room. Luxury, however, isn’t just what you see—it’s how a home lives. All window treatments were motorized, providing effortless operation whether the homeowners are enjoying this residence or managing it remotely from another property. What makes this space special isn’t any single element. It’s the orchestration of hundreds of details working together to create a room that feels deeply personal, calming, and entirely unique to the people who call it home. This is the level of intention that earned this project a GreaterOrlandoBA undefined First Place Award and the Grand Award for Interior Design. Every detail matters. Every decision has purpose. #NathanVanagsDesign #AwardWinningDesign #LuxuryInteriors #GoldenOak #InteriorDesign #GOBAAwards #PrimarySuite #BoldLuxuryInteriorsByDesign
