General Manager Market Strategy & Supplier Relations Nedco & Rexel Atlantic Canada
Ten years! Hard to believe it was April Fools' Day 2016—the day Ron, Wayne and Greg convinced me to switch from Oil and Gas to the exciting world of Electrical Distribution. Even before I started, Blinn was already chirping me. From HRM, to district, to Atantic to the giant shoes of Mr. Barnett ++. I still remember my 1st EFC, 1st CAC, and Moncton (for some reason we always go to Moncton)—May's Days, Depeche Mode, trade shows, Teams calls and Brudnell (which somehow is now nostalgic even with my distaste for golf) - Rog's Fruitee and the infamous Roseneath room! In ten years you make many friends, too many to mention; but I'd be remiss not to mention a few of the people on this journey with me—Jeremy, Kenny, Andrew (in and out), Kyle (Junior B), Daksh 'shunned together' on day 1. Morning Karen shoves & the daily 2-hour Ramy talks. Hutch, Shea, Mr. Moore, DB, Dawesy, Harps, Maillet, Amirault, Grandpa, Deadhead MacNeil with Mrs. Hunter holding it down with Georgie on the island! The great Nfld crew, with too many letters - so many Seans/Shauns, and even more Mikes (10% Mikes)! My handlers/advisers Donna, Boehner, and Andre ;) The few who left us too soon, 'Life Coach Jay', Stan, and Sailor Rob - the next generation of rappers (Nitesh, G, Natashia, Lillian, Thane, Devon, T-Dot, Nicks, Mitch, Mr. Burke, Tony (best inv.), Credit Cabin Ladies, Handsome Rob, Bhupesh & singing Ian! Now blessed with the MSSR crew (Gems coast to coast), Padma ("Nice to Meet you"); & the CatMan team-Rob, Dave, Alec, Lance, Audrey, Alex, Alan (Blueberry Muffin), the datacom and hospitality king—John 'I cut Cat Cable' Humphrey, and the heart of our team, Mrs. Izzy! My fog horn buddy, Carol & Mr. “Pot Roast” the EFC Atlantic rock. The friendships/support of Nathalie and the GMs—Wayne (looking forward to our next daddy/daughter event), Ivan, Jay, and M. Dale (Gerry/Ansul); Moyle and Mr. Little for always believing in me. One of my most flattering quotes was Rog saying, "It's been fun to watch your trajectory." Same to you Rog ;) CSA Chats (Eat that Spider); the Next Boys; Team Munden; Focus' riverboats and wineries; Ledvance MVP'S - Northwinds East Coast birthday celebrations; Southwire Golf, Fleet's Bud Lites & the IPEX crew; the famous Mr. Bruce Dean (Cake Wine to follow); Lewington's Watch (still on my wall), karaoke nights (Rybak's night still stands out), Punk Rock Pits, Eli Shoe Shopping, PPTs, and many Teams calls! Julie & Tim's costumes/morale boosts. The more I write, the more memories and names come flooding back. Please enjoy a quick slide deck of some curated pictures to my longstanding ringtone, 'Sultan's of Swing'. To all the suppliers, customers, co-workers, and competitors (Cory) I might have missed in this post—thank you! I've truly enjoyed the last ten years with you all & I look forward to the next decade! Can't wait to continue reminiscing & creating new memories in this fantastic industry we call Electrical Distribution! For a few TL;DR
