“You rapped….in front of graduates, senior managers and a Co-chair?!” Last Thursday, I performed a short freestyle I made at the BOLD (Black Organisation for Leadership and Development) Network event hosted by Lloyds Banking Group. The piece’s theme was structured around capturing the struggles in which many young black adults, have faced and unfortunately still do encounter, across the world. This was an amazing opportunity to not only illustrate my love for music in a new environment, but to also learn more about the amazing vision and initiative of the Lloyds Banking Group's Black Heritage Colleagues Community. It was also an honour to have played a role in the launch of West Yorkshire’s first BOLD Network hub. A massive thank you to Salome Tirado Okeze, Seun Phillip & Clinton Ilupeju for the opportunity once again, alongside the many others who planned this event!!
