“I’m not back. I’m better”. If you told me 4 months ago that reviving my music career by performing at my FIRST ever live show was on my 2024 Bingo card… I would’ve laughed hysterically. Yet, 4 months later, I performed on Saturday 26th October, for the first time in front of over 200 people at Salome Tirado Okeze “TONES” live event show. I would like to say a massive thank you to Salome Tirado Okeze for not only working so hard to co-ordinate this show, but for her persistence in wanting to learn about my interests, but most importantly, me as a person. If it wasn’t for you asking about my interests in music, I never would’ve remembered to tell you I once made music, nonetheless be offered an opportunity to perform at your show. I would also like to thank Ruth Amissah and Nafatiti Nimako-Boatey for being my creative director and manager respectively. If it wasn’t for you both, I honestly wouldn’t have had a clue for how I wanted to execute my performance. You are both truly amazing and I’m extremely grateful for your contributions. And lastly, I would like to thank God, for blessing me with such a creative gift, and allowing to recognise that such gifts do not have time limits on them. Throughout this journey, I have been reminded, “What’s yours is yours for a reason”. For those who have known me since I was 14, this was a strenuously long but anticipated return😂. But for those who I’ve met during the past 3 years, this was their first time hearing what I was capable of. To the first show of many more to come!!🍾 #music #spokenword #UK #TONES
