10 years ago, I stood in a conference room in Toronto and made the case that puppies are a helpful framing to understand GAAP reserves. The GGY crew quickly became a second family, and the years have flown by. It has certainly been an eventful decade: loads of new regulations and accounting standards, a global pandemic, a couple of hurricanes, and now the AI revolution. To celebrate this milestone, I have stitched together 10 reflections to share with the network. I wouldn't say they are original, but they are concepts that seem to resonate with me most at this juncture in my career. Curious to hear what others align with. Shoutouts to some rockstar coworkers who have helped me stay sane through it all (apologies if I missed someone): Brian Koop | David F. | Dave Noronha | Allyson Burch, FSA, MAAA | Andrew Brulotte | Woolford London | Jesse Resnick FCIA FSA | Karin Boehlke | Steve Muirhead | Mac Smith| Fei Wang, FSA, CERA, MAAA | Shane Leib, FSA, MAAA | Cathy Brown | Kelvin Cheng | Nathan Wenz | Stephen Krupa, FSA, MAAA, ACS, PM5 | Alexandre Mérigay | Emil Chacko, ASA | Lou Giele | Irina Baron
