The state of Tennessee is known for trailblazing accomplishments, and Candice Storey Lee, Ed.D.’s visionary decision-making as the athletic director at Vanderbilt University cemented her selection as the 2026 Tennessean of the Year by the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame & Museum. The Hall of Fame inducted 15 athletes, coaches and broadcasters to its 61st class at the Omni Nashville Hotel on July 11, celebrating their achievements alongside Lee’s pioneering leadership right here in the heart of Nashville.
