In the Nanyang EMBA (Chinese) programme, our Nanyang EMBA (Chinese) programme brings together participants from different countries, industries, and markets. Beyond academic discussion, they also bring real-world challenges and deep regional insights shaped by where they work and live. Thailand is the first stop in our “Walking into Home Markets” series. Initiated by classmates based there, this visit was not just about cultural experience — it was about seeing the market up close, and understanding Thailand’s role within ASEAN: its service ecosystem, market positioning, and wider business landscape. Through local visits and open conversations, participants gained a perspective that goes beyond Thailand as a tourism destination. Instead, they explored its growing potential in premium services, healthcare, consumer upgrading, and cross-border connectivity.
