BWISE 2026: Inspiring the Next Generation From April 20–23, the NANA Worley team was proud to take part in Businesses Working in School Environments (BWISE) 2026, visiting Northwest Arctic Borough School District schools in Ambler, Shungnak, and Kobuk to connect with middle and high school students across the NANA region. BWISE is a NANA initiative that brings the work of NANA North's subsidiaries directly to the youth of NW Alaska. Through interactive presentations, students learned about NANA Worley, LLC, career pathways for shareholders, and how engineering and technology are used in the real world. One of the highlights was a hands-on catapult-building challenge, where students worked in teams, competed against targets, and asked thoughtful questions about engineering, modeling, and career growth. The energy and curiosity of the students made the trip especially rewarding, and the collaboration with local schools and Shareholder Resource Coordinators (SRCs) helped make each visit a success. BWISE continues to be a meaningful opportunity to share knowledge, spark interest in STEM, and invest in the future of our communities. Traveling in NW Alaska requires small aircraft, creative ground transportation and plenty of time/flexibility when navigating weather and other roadblocks. We are grateful for the teams willingness and enthusiasm for this annual project that inspires our next generation of STEM professionals. Thank you to everyone involved for making BWISE 2026 an impactful and memorable experience!
