Back from the health.tech | global summit in Basel, and one idea stayed with me across very different sessions: That came through clearly in ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐‘น๐’†๐’—๐’๐’๐’–๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’โ€ by Jorge Juan Fernรกndez Garcรญa. My main takeaway was that slow AI adoption in healthcare is not mainly a tech problem. It is a change management problem, shaped by trust, governance, workflows, and whether organisations are actually ready to integrate these tools into daily practice. I saw the same pattern again in โ€œ๐‘ฏ๐’๐’˜ ๐‘ต๐’†๐’™๐’• ๐‘ฎ๐’†๐’๐’†๐’“๐’‚๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’ ๐‘ป๐’‰๐’†๐’“๐’‚๐’‘๐’†๐’–๐’•๐’Š๐’„๐’” ๐‘น๐’†๐’’๐’–๐’Š๐’“๐’† ๐‘ต๐’†๐’™๐’• ๐‘ฎ๐’†๐’๐’†๐’“๐’‚๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’ ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’๐’–๐’‡๐’‚๐’„๐’•๐’–๐’“๐’Š๐’๐’ˆโ€ with contributions from Michelangelo Canzoneri, Maria Grahm, Timo Kistner, moderated by Olaf Zweig. What stayed with me there was that smart production is not built all at once. It happens step by step: introducing specific technologies, learning how they work in practice, and only then integrating them into broader systems like digital twins and smarter manufacturing environments. What surprised me most, though, was the pace of progress in neuroscience. Both Frank Desiere - PhD MBA in ๐’‚๐’‘๐’•๐’Š๐’—๐’† ๐‘ต๐’†๐’–๐’“๐’๐’•๐’‰๐’†๐’“๐’‚๐’‘๐’†๐’–๐’•๐’Š๐’„๐’”โ€ and Dr. Clemens Fischer in โ€œ๐‘ฏ๐’๐’˜ ๐‘ฉ๐’“๐’‚๐’Š๐’-๐‘ช๐’๐’Ž๐’‘๐’–๐’•๐’†๐’“ ๐‘ฐ๐’๐’•๐’†๐’“๐’‡๐’‚๐’„๐’†๐’” ๐‘พ๐’Š๐’๐’ ๐‘ป๐’“๐’‚๐’๐’”๐’‡๐’๐’“๐’Ž ๐‘ฏ๐’–๐’Ž๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ฏ๐’†๐’‚๐’๐’•๐’‰โ€ made one thing very clear: a lot of what still sounds futuristic is already entering real clinical and technological reality. What I appreciated most about the summit was exactly this contrast - bold innovation on one side, and the very practical question of execution on the other. I left impressed by the technology, but even more aware that progress in healthcare depends on whether organisations can absorb change as fast as innovation creates new possibilities. Grateful for the experience, the conversations, and the perspectives. #healthtechglobalsummit2026 #htgs26 #healthtech
