Nigeria is taking a bold step toward ending HIV as a public health threat by 2030 with the national launch of Lenacapavir, a groundbreaking long-acting injectable for HIV prevention. At a media parley held recently hosted by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in collaboration with the Global Fund, leaders including Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako and Dr. Temitope Ilori highlighted this innovative PrEP option, which is administered just once every six months. By adding this “game-changer” to the country’s prevention toolkit, Nigeria aims to significantly reduce new infections through accurate reporting, reduced stigma, and expanded access to life-saving healthcare. 🇳🇬✨ . . . #HIVPreventionNigeria #Lenacapavir #HealthForAll #NACA #EndHIV2030
