First time in Vegas, first #DICE Summit, for me and for Playruo. And apparently, the City of Las Vegas decided to mark the occasion: thank you for personalizing the iconic balloon. I truly wasn’t expecting that... truly honored 🙏 Huge congratulations and thank you to the entire Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences team for a flawless organization. This event has that rare atmosphere where high-level strategy meets genuine passion for games. And a special thank you to Unity for kicking things off with the Day 1 golf tournament. Bravo to Raphael Ruland and the entire Unity crew for hosting such a relaxed and well-run event. Creating that kind of atmosphere from day one makes a real difference - especially for first-timers like me... it breaks the ice, sparks conversations, and helps build meaningful new connections. What struck me most throughout the week were the conversations. From studios preparing their next funding round, to publishers refining their playtesting workflows, to marketing teams seeking stronger community engagement, several themes surfaced again and again. One in particular stood out. The invisible enemy of momentum: "friction". - Friction when sharing a build with investors. - Friction when running large-scale playtests. - Friction when giving press or creators early access. - Friction when asking players to download dozens of gigabytes “just to try”. And it’s exactly what we’re building Playruo to eliminate. We enable PC/console games to be instantly playable in the browser (across PC, Mac, Linux, and even Chromebook) and with zero extra dev work. For developers and publishers, that means frictionless investor pitches, scalable playtests, seamless PR & influencer previews, and high-engagement playable marketing moments. For players, it simply means: click → play. No storage cleanup. No installation time. No commitment barrier just to test a demo. Removing friction doesn’t sound glamorous. But at DICE, it became clear how strategic it actually is. And then, finally, came the DICE Awards ceremony... what a show! 🤩 Kudos to the MCs for making the entire room burst into laughter multiple times... the perfect balance between celebration and sharp humor. And of course, congratulations to all the nominated games. A special moment for the French nominees 🇫🇷 I was sitting at a table with a few fellow French industry peers, and we couldn’t resist shouting “Allez les Bleus!” every time you appeared in a category. (cc Nicolas Godement, Rémi Hanesse 🔜 DICE) A massive congratulations to Sandfall Interactive for taking home the GOTY 🏆 And thank you for the spontaneous late-night celebration with the rest of the gang... unforgettable memories. (cc Tom Guillermin, François Meurisse, Karl Onnée, Thierry Dansereau, Cyrille Lagarigue, Beausoleil Samson-Guillemette 🥳 ) Thank you to everyone who made the time.
