THE SARTORIALIST MAN: Inspiration Every Man Wants, Education Every Man Needs | 2020 RIZZOLI INTERNATIONAL As I leaf through this book, I think about how many editions of Pitti I have taken part in, how this year in January there will be no occasion to see, not so much the collections (the fashion shows will be online), but the Pitti People for which the lunch by Mr. The Sartorialist Scott Schuman is like a grand ball at the Met, much more exclusive indeed. This is a very nice book. I will never thank you enough for giving it to me. It could be considered like a textbook or some sort of dictionary. Indeed it should be used in schools because if Italy is the land of beauty (are we still?), beauty must also be taught so that good taste and good living still have a future. It isn’t a book that talks about fashion but about style. It is not a collection of images but a guide that helps us exploring and refining our personal style expression. It is an absolutely modern book in its concept, and in its message, it doesn’t compare the classic clothing with the fashionable one - and is capable of breaking the barrier between two different ideas of dressing, in the belief that people can be inspired, wear and love both.
