During our visit to São Paulo, we had the opportunity to meet Fernando Estorino, CEO and founder of Rube Visual Engineering, a Brazilian studio pushing the boundaries of audiovisual production through visual engineering. Rube combines virtual production, LED volumes, cinebots, Unreal Engine, and AI-driven workflows to create highly immersive environments for film, advertising, television, and entertainment. Their studio integrates more than 300m² of LED panels, a ready-to-shoot virtual production stage, and their cinebot Draco, designed for precise and repeatable robotic camera movements. What makes Rube unique is how they bring together engineering and storytelling to simplify complex production processes, reduce operational costs, and expand creative possibilities for filmmakers and brands. In this interview, we talk with the team about the concept of visual engineering, the future of virtual production, and how technologies like cinebots and real-time environments are transforming how audiovisual content is created. Brazil’s creative industry is evolving quickly, and companies like Rube Labs are helping position the country as a serious player in the global production ecosystem. At My Social Spark, we work to connect innovative companies across Brazil with international partners looking for creative and technological collaboration.
