I'm incredibly proud to share that my team recently won the Best Design Narrative award at the Design for America (DFA) Expo for our project, Solas! Over the past 8 months, we've been sitting with a question that felt deeply personal: in a world where we spend hours moving between apps, videos, messages, and content, why do we so rarely pause to ask what we're consuming, why we're consuming it, or how it's shaping us? Through using competitor apps (and getting frustrated at them), research, ideation, and countless iterations… Solas was created 🌞! Solas brings a fresh look into how young adults can become more mindful and reflective of their digital habits through encouraging accountability, rather than restriction. What means most to me is the care and authenticity that my team brought to every step of the process. Arianna Lee , Katie Duong , Kyle Jhong , Matthew Li , Ryan Evans; you all are truly the dream team and the source of inspiration, laughter, and creativity across these past months! Massive thank you to the best Design for America at UW internal team, along with our amazing judge panelists Courtney Clark , Nam-ho Park , Nathan Bilbao , Setu Kathawate.
