Our voice at the heart of Europe's connectivity debate. 🌐 MVNO Europe (European Association of MVNOs) was glad to take part in the panel discussion "Building a competitive and innovative EU telecommunications market" at the event "#DigitalNetworksAct: Future-proofing the EU's digital connectivity", organised by the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026 and the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union. Our message was clear: future-proofing connectivity and future-proofing competition are not the same ambition. And the DNA, as currently drafted, risks achieving one at the expense of the other. Unlimited spectrum licences entrench incumbents rather than opening markets🔒Commission veto powers over national regulators shift the institutional balance in ways that deserve scrutiny ⚖️ And without binding wholesale access protections, competitive dynamics remain constrained 🔓 We brought these concerns to the table and we called on the co-legislators to act: truly future-proof connectivity can only be built on truly competitive markets.
