Young Farmer Forum 2026 🚜 We were thrilled to welcome the participants of this year’s Young Farmer Forum to Musgrave and SuperValu sites in Cork, showcasing the important role we play in Ireland’s beef and lamb supply chain. In partnership with Kepak Group, this forum gives the next generation of Irish farmers a valuable opportunity to see first-hand how the food supply chain works beyond farm gate - from processing and distribution to retail and ultimately the consumer. During their visit, participants toured Musgrave's distribution centre on Tramore Road, where they heard from Warehouse Operations Manager Liam McCarthy about how products move through our supply chain. They then visited Ryan's SuperValu Togher, where Head Butcher David Constant shared insights into evolving consumer trends and what today's shoppers are looking for. At Musgrave, through SuperValu, Centra, Musgrave Marketplace and more, we work with farmers and food producers across Ireland every day. We see first-hand the skill, commitment and resilience that exists within the sector, and we know the next generation will play a critical role in building on that legacy. The enthusiasm, curiosity and engagement shown by participants throughout the day reinforced the value of initiatives like the Young Farmer Forum in building knowledge, fostering connections and supporting the future leaders of Irish farming. Thank you to Kepak, all the young farmers who took part, and our colleagues across Musgrave and SuperValu who helped make the day a success. #YoungFarmerForum Laura Kennedy Patricia Blackshields, MBA Graham Caulwell Aine Geary Lisa Crowley Dalton Ruth Ciara O'Connor Ryan's SuperValu Group
