🎶A Swedish musician builds acoustic machines from 3,000 gears, balls, and LEGO motors. Martin Molin of the band Wintergatan has been creating mechanical orchestras for over 10 years. His most famous, 2016's Marble Machine—3,000 parts, 2,000 steel balls, and a hand crank—sounded like a vibraphone, bass guitar, and drum kit. He's currently working on a third version—compact, pedal-powered, and with an aesthetic he calls "something Leonardo da Vinci would have drawn." These aren't just instruments, but a mesmerizing spectacle—when endless imagination and a love of detail transform into true sonic magic.
