Environmental water and targeted management actions are supporting vegetation recovery in the Barmah-Millewa Forest. At Harbours Lake, the impacts of past feral horse grazing are still visible. Exclusion fencing and feral horse removal efforts are enabling key species such as moira grass and river swamp wallaby-grass to recover across the site. It’s one of the highlights from the 2024–25 asset report cards, now available, showing how coordinated management is supporting ecosystem resilience across the southern Basin.
