MTU is Helping Shape Ireland's Quantum Future Through Rinn Quantum, the Research Ireland National Quantum Research Centre. Featured in the photograph are Professor Hugh McGlynn, Vice President for Research and Innovation at MTU, and Dr Hazel Murray, Chair of Cybersecurity at MTU, at the official launch of the centre. MTU to play a leading role in the new national centre, advancing quantum cybersecurity research, expanding access to quantum computing and developing Ireland's future quantum workforce. Our University's quantum research activity extends across multiple faculties and disciplines, bringing together 12 researchers working in areas including computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, space science, music and the arts. This interdisciplinary approach reflects the growing recognition that the impact of quantum technologies will extend far beyond traditional scientific and technological boundaries. Ireland's quantum future took a significant step forward with the launch of Rinn Quantum, the Research Ireland National Quantum Research Centre. Hosted at Trinity College Dublin, the major national initiative brings together leading researchers and institutions from across Ireland to advance quantum technologies and their real-world applications. Co-directed by Professor John Goold and Professor Ortwin Hess of Trinity College Dublin's School of Physics, Rinn Quantum aims to strengthen Ireland's position as a global leader in quantum research, innovation and skills development. #Quantum #Cybersecurity #MTU Rinn Network
