एमएमआरडीएचे आयुक्त डॉ. संजय मुखर्जी, भा.प्र.से.आणि अतिरिक्त आयुक्त 1 विक्रम कुमार, भा.प्र.से. यांनी नुकतीच दादर येथील इंदू मिल परिसरातील भारतरत्न डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या भव्य स्मारक प्रकल्पाचा आढावा घेतला. या आढावा भेटीतून प्राधिकरणाची डॉ. आंबेडकर यांच्या विचारांना अभिवादन करण्याची आणि या राष्ट्रीय महत्त्वाच्या प्रकल्पाची वेळेत पूर्णता सुनिश्चित करण्याची कटिबद्धता दर्शवते. स्मारक प्रकल्पातील काही महत्त्वाच्या प्रकल्प घटकांत लक्षणीय प्रगती झाली आहे: • डबल बेसमेंट (पार्किंग) : ९५% काम पूर्ण | निर्धारित पूर्णता - ३१ मे, २०२५ • प्रवेश प्रांगण : ८८.५% काम पूर्ण • व्याख्यानगृह : ७८.७५% काम पूर्ण • ग्रंथालय : ८१% काम पूर्ण • प्रदर्शन व प्रेक्षागृह : ६८% काम पूर्ण | निर्धारित पूर्णता - ३१ ऑगस्ट, २०२५ • पदपथ इमारत : ५२.८% काम पूर्ण तसेच पुतळा प्रकल्पाचेदेखील काम वेगाने सुरू आहे: • २३० फूट उंचीच्या थर्माकोल मॉडेलचे काम पूर्ण • १३९५ मेट्रिक टन संरचनात्मक स्टील खरेदी पूर्ण • १५५ मेट्रिक टन बेसप्लेटचे फॅब्रिकेशन व उभारणी पूर्ण • एकूण १०,५१० चौ.मी. पैकी ३०८ चौ.मी. कांस्य पॅनेलिंग पूर्ण महानगर आयुक्त डॉ. संजय मुखर्जी यांनी या भव्य स्मारकाशी सर्व संबंधित यंत्रणांना कामातील गती वाढवण्याचे निर्देश दिले असून, हे स्मारक केवळ वेळेत पूर्ण व्हावे, असेच नव्हे तर ते डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या अजरामर कार्याला साजेसे गौरवचिन्ह ठरावे, अशी अपेक्षा व्यक्त केली. जयंतीनिमित्त हे कार्य अधिक वेगाने पुढे नेण्याचा संकल्प नव्या प्रेरणेसह करण्यात आला आहे. Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee (IAS), Metropolitan Commissioner of MMRDA, and Shri Vikram Kumar (IAS), Additional Commissioner-1, recently visited the Grand Memorial of Dr. Ambedkar at Indu Mill, Dadar. Their visit reflects a commitment to honoring Dr. Ambedkar's legacy and ensuring the timely completion of this significant national landmark. Exciting progress is being made on key components of the memorial project: - Double Basement (Parking)**: 95% complete | Target completion by 31st May 2025 ⁠ - Entrance Plaza: 88.5% complete - Lecture Hall : 78.75% complete - Library : 81% complete - Exhibition & Auditorium*l : 68% complete | Target completion by 31st August 2025 - ⁠Pedestal Building :52.8% complete In addition, the statue work is advancing well: - A 230 ft 1:1 thermocol model has been successfully completed. - 1395 MT of structural steel has been procured. - 155 MT of baseplate fabrication and erection has been completed. - 308 sqmt of bronze paneling has been accomplished out of a total of 10,510 sqmt. Metropolitan Commissioner has urged all stakeholders to expedite work across all components, ensuring that this memorial not only meets its deadlines but also stands as a fitting tribute to the enduring legacy of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
