Is there really a talent shortage, or are we looking for talent the wrong way? That was the question we explored during today's Multi Recruit Virtual Talent Roundtable, and the discussion challenged many of the assumptions surrounding today's hiring landscape. One message stood out loud and clear: The problem isn't always a shortage of talent. It's often a shortage of the right hiring mindset. Some of the key insights from our panel discussion: ๐ก We need to stop hiring for the "perfect candidate" and start hiring for potential. ๐ก Skills can be taught. Curiosity, adaptability, learning agility, and attitude are far harder to develop. ๐ก Lengthy hiring processes and unrealistic expectations are costing organizations exceptional talent. ๐ก AI is transforming every industry, making transferable skills and continuous learning more valuable than ever before. ๐ก Talent Acquisition is no longer just about filling vacanciesโit is about shaping the future workforce.
