Multi Corporation and Keystone Vastgoed have jointly acquired a site at Vrijheidsplein in Zeist from a private owner. The acquisition marks the first collaboration between the two parties.   “This acquisition further strengthens our strategic focus on residential led (re)development. Over the past three and a half years, we have secured six redevelopment sites and expanded our active development pipeline to approximately 900 homes. We are therefore continuing to build a future proof and well-balanced development portfolio,” said Ruben van der Werf, Multi Corporation.   The parties are exploring the redevelopment of the site into approximately 60 affordable owner-occupied apartments, complemented by a community-focused ground floor of around 800 sqm, intended to accommodate a primary healthcare centre including a general practice and pharmacy. Parking will be provided on-site.   Through the proposed residential programme, Multi and Keystone aim to respond to the growing demand for affordable owner-occupied housing in Zeist. Supply within this segment remains limited, particularly for first time buyers, movers and seniors, while demand for accessible, high-quality apartments in central locations continues unabated. By combining residential use with primary healthcare facilities, the development seeks to deliver a future proof scheme that contributes both to local housing supply and to the area’s amenity provision.   “It is particularly meaningful for us, as a Zeist based company, to contribute to the much-needed expansion of affordable housing within our own municipality, following a range of residential developments (including new build, refurbishment and leisure schemes) in Amsterdam, Utrecht, IJsselstein, Nieuwegein and Leiden” said Caspar Diepenhorst, Keystone Vastgoed.   The building has operated as a childcare facility for several decades.
