š¾ Harvesting Chickpea Genotypes Screened for Herbicide Tolerance We are pleased to share that harvesting of 45 chickpea genotypes, including exotic germplasm, is currently underway as part of our research on herbicide tolerance in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.). Weed competition remains a critical constraint to chickpea production. This study aims to evaluate the response of diverse genotypes ā encompassing both local and exotic accessions ā to herbicide application, with the objective of identifying tolerant sources for future breeding initiatives. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to: š Identification of herbicide-tolerant genotypes š Broadening the genetic base for chickpea improvement š Development of weed management strategies compatible with crop safety. We look forward to sharing our results with the scientific community. #Chickpea #HerbicideTolerance #PlantBreeding #UniversityOfAgriculture #CropImprovement #AgriculturalResearch #GeneticDiversity #ExoticGermplasm #WeedManagement #FoodSecurity #CropScience
