This week, MUFG was pleased to partner with Proximo Infra and TXF on the Global 2026: Export, Agency & Project Finance conference in Prague. The event brought together over 1,500 senior decision-makers to discuss the future of project and infrastructure finance. During the conference, Phillip Hall, Head of Structured Finance for EMEA, joined a panel titled “The Lender Lens: Big Calls in Project & Infrastructure Finance.” The discussion focused on identifying high-return sectors and key geographies for investment, as well as the evolving role of sustainability and ESG considerations. Meanwhile, Michiel Peters, Director, Infrastructure, Project Finance, participated in the panel “Digital Infrastructure: The Power Crunch and the Data Boom,” where he discussed innovative structures for financing data centres. Christopher Marks, Head of Growth Markets, Innovative Finance and Portfolio Solutions EMEA, moderated a session bringing together Multilateral Development Banks and Development Finance Institutions to examine how to mobilise significantly greater private capital into emerging and developing market projects. The conference provided a valuable opportunity to connect with clients and partners, and we look forward to building on these insights to strengthen our project and infrastructure financing capabilities.
